Kimberly Clark Project

The Kimberly Clark Project in Engineering 131 challenged teams of four to solve the problem of paper towel recycling in public venues such as Purdue's own Mackey Arena. The majority of paper towels are thrown out but could be recycled if collected with minimal contamination.

My team Identified a passive sorting solution as the best option for the client's criteria and constraints. As a member of this group I searched for patents and utilized a weighted decision matrix to select our final design.

I also created the 3D model and renders of our ideal trash can design (one of which is displayed here).
