Custom IMU breakout board

Developed for PSP Active Controls

While developing our flight computer, the Avionics subteam decided upon using two redundant Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). During our prototyping phase, it was concluded that components were to be as separate as possible for ease of debugging and increased flexibility. This made daughter boards for sensors a necessity. I tasked myself with developing the daughter or "breakout" boards for our IMUs as I wanted to advance my PCB prototyping abilities. I also saw the boards as an opportunity to create a PCB design workshop to teach members of the Avionics subteam and the general PSP community the basics of PCB design and manufacturing. You can read more about the workshops I put together on the teaching page.
